Principal's Message
My name is Danielle Porch and I am the principal of Caldwell Academy. My belief is that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually and socially. It is my mission as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in each of the aforementioned areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites the sharing of ideas.
One of my goals as an administrator is to instill a love of learning in all students. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children. In our competitive society it is important for students to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual needs. I am such a person and will always strive to be the best administrator I can be.
Teacher Effectiveness
The role of a teacher’s content knowledge has been extensively investigated in the research on teacher effectiveness. Strong content knowledge has consistently been identified as an essential element for student learning. Therefore, providing students with teachers that are thoroughly knowledgeable of the standards, which plan and instruct students according to their needs and data will thereby increase academic achievement. Ensuring that our students are able to perform across all content areas and even after they graduate is our primary goal.
